Holiday sales series

I was tasked with developing a holiday sale campaign series of templates that would appease our sales partners yet would align with our overall product design. Due to limited bandwidth, it needed to be developed in a manner where we could update design elements quickly for different holidays. I created animations that could be easily updated for each holiday. Accessibility and suitability of color choices for respective holidays were considered in the production of each individual holiday series, and thorough research into the holidays to determine what color would be most appropriate and appealing to potential subscribers was evaluated as well.

Email series

We determined that a series of four emails with increasing levels of engagement and urgency would be an effective method to engage and entice potential subscribers. The initial email was a simple, static introduction to the sale.

The second email incorporated an animated graphic to capture our potential subscribers’ eyes, enticing them to take another look at our discounted offer.

The third email incorporated a secondary animation further capitalizing on the sale aspect to entice them to subscribe.

The fourth and final email utilized a countdown clock to emphasize the urgency of the sale ending.

Other items included the holiday sales efforts I created were social images and modal templates. Modals were created using specifications provided by the outside vendor responsible for implementing this feature at that time.

Campaign results

This holiday series encompassed a St. Patrick’s Day sale, Spring sale, Memorial Day sale, Fourth of July sale, Labor Day sale and Fall sale before the sales team decided to shift gears for the winter holidays. A short series of flash sales was spun off from this series, leading to the creation of additional assets including Facebook carousels. This holiday series generated impressive growth in both our print and digital audience.
