Read Local Squad
I designed an email series for a campaign we developed centered around a stylized personification of our product through devices — print, mobile, tablet and desktop — in an effort to show the ease of accessing our markets’ news content. Our Read Local Squad, as they came to be known, featured “Eddie”-torial the newspaper, Tabby the tablet, Gabby the phone, and Browser the laptop. With cheery colors and some simple yet delightful animations, the series was designed to entertain, inform and engage customers by focusing on the features of our products. We also created digital ads, social images and point-of-purchase assets for this effort. The rapid onset of the pandemic forced us to cut this short and start our #readlocal campaign earlier than planned.
