Video Production
At McClatchy, after we started producing animations for emails, our sales partners wanted to try to capitalize on the medium for social media and sponsorships on the market level. I developed design processes to allow us to be able to scale production, starting with video clips. This evolved into development of templates to produce videos for social promotion, and ended up creating promotional spots for a handful of local markets as well.
Interactive Design
For The News & Observer, I developed slideshow presentation templates that served as landing pages for weekly features such as new movies openings. We utilized this capability to create visually engaging landing page portals for special sections that appeared in print, including our annual Holiday Baking section, the Spring Arts Preview, and Best Restaurants of the Year among others. At McClatchy, I was tasked with finding a way to present a map of our 30 markets on the corporate website that could showcase the reach of McClatchy across the country but also be accessible across devices.
