This was a promotional spot for the Miami Herald that aired during a Florida Panthers game.
Our sales wanted to test pushing videos on social media to ramp up acquisition efforts after finding success with the social carousels I created. I initially made 16:9 and 1:1 videos for the top 10 markets to test, and then scaled the production to be able to create these for our remaining markets.
When the McClatchy website was being redesigned, leadership wanted to be able to display a map of our markets to demonstrate the reach across the United States. They requested to show our regions, the markets within as well as provide links to the detail pages of each market. This responsive interactive map, which is still in use, was the culmination of their requests.
The News & Observer had a sponsored holiday baking section, and we wanted to make an online presentation that acted as a landing page for the collection of stories and photos that ran in print. This interactive presentation had customized views for tablet and mobile, and each story had links embedded to return them back to the landing page.
After the success of the holiday baking guide, we began creating more interactive presentation portals for some of our seasonal sections, including the spring arts preview, which is a section that features a large number of listings for various events. Each story contained in the section had embedded links to return to the main page and was built with responsive views for tablet and mobile.
